Against the Storm

Great story.

The book was good enough that I was able to finish it. I was still guessing who the stalker was til the very end. But none of the characters really rang true to me and there was a lot of dialogue I felt that wouldn't be said between real people. But I did like the main characters sister and her beau - even more so than the main couple. I think I would have appreciated the book more if it were narrated by someone else. I really can't stand his way of talking. ...he has such a twang for lack of a better word that reminds me of some Steven Segal or wannabe mobster. Perhaps it was his narrating that kept me from connecting to the characters. But probably not, the plot needed to be more intertwined, not add characters out of left field to make it work.

This is a wonderful series. Lots of tall strong sexy men and the women the protect. I love books with cowboys and books with military men so this is a double whammy. All the cowboys are former military. THIS RECORDING IS MISSING CHAPTER 1.
