Unabridged Audiobook
I’m so very very sad… the narrator has killed this book for me. This current narrator sounds like an old person putting on fake voices… horrible!! It’s so bad I can’t listen any more. The last narrator made the book… made you feel like you knew the characters in the story. Why why would you change narrators in the middle of a series. Very bad move.
It’s like turning on the 3rd season of your favorite tv show and finding all the characters have been replaced. Not only have they been replaced, they are all whispering. It was so frustrating trying to find the optimal listening level! If you turned the volume up where you could hear the majority of it, it would blast you out of the car when she spoke normally. I also have an audible account and find very little reviews there, as well, that have to do with the actual story. Please don’t ignore the feedback and bring back Leslie Manville for the 4th book.
Fell in love with the first book. This one is even better. Narrator has characters spot on!!! Looking forward to the ext one!!!
Great story, funny and easy to listen to. Should have used the same narrator as in the first 2 books. She is whispering most of the time and difficult to listen to when driving.
Should have never changed the narrator
Loved the narrator!
These stories are so wonderful that i wish they'd go on forever.
Charming and muscheivois
What fun it is to start with reading and go to listening of the Thursday murder club! Thank you all
I love this series like no other. I am obsessed. But for the love of all things…please bring back the old narrator!! This woman didn’t just impede the story, she brought my listening experience way down!!
This series just keeps getting better and better; magical writing with a heartwarming elderly gang of sleuths and the wonderful people in their orbit… and an interesting mystery (or two or three) in this book 3 that had me guessing the whole way through. The Thursday Murder Club has completely captured my heart - it is a pure love letter to the best aspects of classic British murder mystery. I’m not sure why other reviewers had trouble with the narration. I found the audiobook to be perfectly narrated; I had no trouble with sound or the wonderful delivery of the lines. I whipped through this - so much fun!
I enjoyed the story but was frustrated by the narrator doing a weird whisper to distinguish between characters' voices.
The previous narrator was much better and easier to listen to. It took a while to get used to the change, but the story is wonderful!
Loved this so much that my next download was another in the series. Loved the narration, added to the story. Love the characters, the character development, the twisting plot and so charmingly funny too.
Fantastic book in the audio format. Meet the four central characters and be smitten.
