Summary
We still have time to change the world. From Greta Thunberg, the world's leading climate activist, comes the essential handbook for making it happen.

You might think it's an impossible task: secure a safe future for life on Earth, at a scale and speed never seen, against all the odds. There is hope - but only if we listen to the science before it's too late.

In The Climate Book, Greta Thunberg has gathered the wisdom of over one hundred experts - geophysicists, oceanographers and meteorologists; engineers, economists and mathematicians; historians, philosophers and indigenous leaders - to equip us all with the knowledge we need to combat climate disaster. Alongside them, she shares her own stories of demonstrating and uncovering greenwashing around the world, revealing how much we have been kept in the dark. This is one of our biggest challenges, she shows, but also our greatest source of hope. Once we are given the full picture, how can we not act? And if a schoolchild's strike could ignite a global protest, what could we do collectively if we tried?

We are alive at the most decisive time in the history of humanity. Together, we can do the seemingly impossible. But it has to be us, and it has to be now.

* This audiobook edition includes a downloadable PDF of climate charts and trends from throughout the book.

Never mind the misspelled political trolling attacks on this book. They are inane as any words from a red baseball hat collector. Thunberg’s book is worthy of your attention, and hopefully, decisive action. Ultimately, I fear it is too late for to evade the harm that is coming, but perhaps something may yet be done for a portion of the future.

The most important book I have ever read. Packed with facts and passion. Literally about the continuation of the human race.... or not. The earth and nature will cope better than humans with the changes that are inevitable with global warming. If we don't want our children and grandchildren to suffer serious consequences we better get moving today to push our politicians and the media to send out the alarm to change our habit of trashing the earth.

I hate that this book, which everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) needs to read, has been 1-star bombed by all these climate deniers and ignorant people. If any book was ever essential reading, this one absolutely is. We must face climate change, and we must face it now, with justice for all of us on this planet at the center of our efforts. We must face it together.

How did it withstand the test of time when scientists in recorded history agreed the world was flat? The ascertain that the majority of scientists agree with this minimally educated victim is lacking in substance. Climate change is obvious. What evidence is there to support the ability to impact the temperature of the earth in a meaningful way? What time frame would be required to see this improvement? A lifetime seems unlikely. How does the author travel on the lecture circuit? Bicycle, car, or jet? This agenda from a juvenile elitist is a good reason for the author to go to school and study rather than lecture with her condescending shriek.
