Summary
Detective Harry Bosch was sure he'd shot the serial killer responsible for a string of murders in LA . . . but now, a new crime makes him question his convictions.

The Dollmaker was the name of the serial killer who had stalked Los Angeles ruthlessly, leaving grisly calling cards on the faces of his female victims. Now with a single faultless shot, Detective Harry Bosch thinks he has ended the city's nightmare.

But the dead man's widow is suing Harry and the LAPD for killing the wrong man-- an accusation that rings terrifyingly true when a new victim is discovered with the Dollmaker's macabre signature.

So for the second time, Harry must hunt down a death-dealer who is very much alive, before he strikes again. It's a blood-tracked quest that will take Harry from the hard edges of the L.A. night to the last place he ever wanted to go-- the darkness of his own heart.

With The Concrete Blonde, Edgar Award-winning author Michael Connelly has hit a whole new level in his career, creating a breathtaking thriller that thrusts you into a blistering courtroom battle-- and a desperate search for a sadistic killer.

Great, great book. Terrible narrator because his "voices" are not authentic.

Bosch is always a great listen.

Great book! Poor narration. I say this only because of how much I can hear the narrator smacking his lips in between lines. This is gross and distracting from the story

I love the Bosch book series. The character is different from the TV series. Bosch is a hardworking detective who is a natural leader. The Concrete Blood throws a wrench into a previously solved case, and Bosch is forced to defend himself due to actions used to solve the previous case. Did Bosch get the wrong guy, or is there a copycat? It gets very complicated.

I’m listening to the books in order and just finished the Concrete Blonde. Excellent story and I enjoy all stories read by Dick Hill. This is my first experience with Michael Connelly’s writing an Harry Bosch. As a retired police office I can honestly say these books capture reality. I look forward to the rest of the series

Loved the book! Number 3 in the Harry Bosch series. This book helped fill in the details of the "Dollmaker". Finished it in a couple of days. On to number 4!

One of the best Bosch books I've listened to. It was nice to have 1 book where he isn't so alone all the time... And I liked not being able to figure out the ending too early.
