Unabridged Audiobook
I hated the narration.
Not a fan of the narrator. Hated the voice she gave Azriel
I really enjoyed this book, with a few of the lesser known characters getting more of the story line. The last fourth of the book was my favorite part & had me glued to my earbuds. The only thing I would have liked better, was the consistency with the narration. I got so used to the narrator of the last two books in the series; the tone & speed of each character’s voice was well thought-out and unique. It took awhile for me to get used to the different voices and pace of this narrator.
I know the bat boys are hundreds of years old, but WHY does the narrator make them sounds like fragile 90 year old men?? Terrible. Not a single voice matches the character. 3 books of character building is is destroyed with this narration. Stone cold Nesta who's voice hold venom is now bratty 13 year old girl experiencing her first cycle. I could go on; this is just bad.
Brilliant, emotional, kick-ass, frustrating, and lovely.
Good continuation of the narrative. Problematic narrator who could not quite hit the right tone for the narrated emotions. Always a bit off, so not as good as the first two.
Absolutely loved the entire series but this was definitely one of the best books in it.
Arguably the best book in the series. However, the narration left a lot to be desired. Tone and inflection were all over the place, and regardless of the narration telling the reader how certain lines are to be read and perceived, the narrator would deliver them in a way that completely changed the intent of the words, and therefore the intent and development of the character. I 100% recommend reading this book, but I only 5% recommend listening to the audiobook.
My favorite book of the series so far. Great character development and good amount of spice.
loved the story hated the narrator
The reader reads with a very breathy voice. The first 3 books I listened to were read by Amanda Leigh Cobb who reads the books way better. This reader reads Feyre as a scared child, which she has rarely ever been. Imagine Feyre at her lowest when she was with Tam or Elain when she's hollow and empty. This is how this reader voices every female character including Morrigan and Nesta. It's horrible and i wish i would have sampled it before I bought it. If I could refund, i would.
Another magnificent book. The narrator great. I cannot wait for the next book. In few words exceptional work. The writer has a great gift. I said it before and I am saying it again. Her work so far is superb. I liked all narrators for this book series. Please write a book about Elain. Thank you
After reading this series, I can’t find joy in any other book I’ve picked up after reading this series. The author does an amazing job at bringing you into the world
Sarah Maas is a Baaad B! lol I love her details to description, her books make me feel like I'm watching a movie or television series! Even though this book wasn't my favorite only because I'm not a fan of Nesta, I still couldn't get enough of it! I look forward to the next one! Oh and at 1st the narrators voice annoyed me but after a couple hours I think I just got use to it.
Best one in the series.
Great end to a wonderful series. Almost everything you could want wrapped up, the author has taken care of with plenty of detail. A transformation from start to finish. A joy to read. Thank you Sarah J l. Maas.
Excellent addition to the series and fantastic narration.
I’ve enjoyed the whole series but found the narrator on this book to be the best. And I see where we may be able to enjoy future stories in this series.
loved it so much
I enjoyed the story... well written, concise and consistent.
Love it!
Didn’t care for the narrator at all
Love the series but this narration almost ruins the book! This book is one of my favorites but listening to her version of the characters makes me cringe. Hopefully they choose another narrator for the next few.
Great read. Entire series so far is phenomenal!
Narration was just okay
Will be relistening to this over and over again. Absolutely love everything from sarah j. Maas
I’ve been rooting for Nesta to make a turn around for a while. I loved the full circle moments that happen.
I was disappointed in this book. I thought it would've had more of a captivating story like the others but it fell flat. The others had love scenes but I feel like it was constant in this one. UGH. Some if fine but when it overshadows the rest of the storyline, I get bored. I thought it odd also that all of a sudden the author is using explicit language when this wasn't really used in the others. The narrator was terrible. I was used to the narrator who did the others and she was great but how this one chose to voice Mor, Azriel and even Feyre? Terrible. They all sounded depressed and the scratchy, raspy voice of Azriel was just distracting. It's sad, I was looking forward to this book but I was definitely underwhelmed at every turn.
I loved it! The whole série was amazing!!!
I cried, laughed was hesitant when story twist but I loved it!!!
Starting at about 7 hours, the audiobook gets seriously screwed up. Skips, plays back on itself, jumps ahead, skips again, had weird scratchy sounds. I'll ask for my money back.
absolutely in love with this series and hunger for more another excellent pick for the narrator who helped bring the story to life and really keeps you immersed in it
I absolutely love the book, the series, the author. The Narrator is great as well. I gave her 4 stars only because of personal preference on the way she made some of the characters sound. For example, Azriel's character she gave a deep raspy kind of tone. I never envisioned any of the Fae characters with a raspy tone. Ones I did were King Hybern, Bryaxis, The Weaver etc. Other than tiny things like that she was great!
great book I really liked it
amaizing !
