Summary
An unfathomable power

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly—proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she’s struggled to find a place for herself within the strange,
deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can’t seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites.
The fire between them is undeniable, and it only burns hotter as they are forced to work closely together.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very
well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance—and healing—in each other’s arms.

I hated the narration.

Not a fan of the narrator. Hated the voice she gave Azriel

I really enjoyed this book, with a few of the lesser known characters getting more of the story line. The last fourth of the book was my favorite part & had me glued to my earbuds. The only thing I would have liked better, was the consistency with the narration. I got so used to the narrator of the last two books in the series; the tone & speed of each character’s voice was well thought-out and unique. It took awhile for me to get used to the different voices and pace of this narrator.

I know the bat boys are hundreds of years old, but WHY does the narrator make them sounds like fragile 90 year old men?? Terrible. Not a single voice matches the character. 3 books of character building is is destroyed with this narration. Stone cold Nesta who's voice hold venom is now bratty 13 year old girl experiencing her first cycle. I could go on; this is just bad.

Brilliant, emotional, kick-ass, frustrating, and lovely.

Good continuation of the narrative. Problematic narrator who could not quite hit the right tone for the narrated emotions. Always a bit off, so not as good as the first two.

Absolutely loved the entire series but this was definitely one of the best books in it.

Arguably the best book in the series. However, the narration left a lot to be desired. Tone and inflection were all over the place, and regardless of the narration telling the reader how certain lines are to be read and perceived, the narrator would deliver them in a way that completely changed the intent of the words, and therefore the intent and development of the character. I 100% recommend reading this book, but I only 5% recommend listening to the audiobook.

An amazing series; I fell in love with characters and their stories, but the details in the way author writes about characters, nature, surroundings, feelings- draws you so deeply into it - I had a very hard time to put pause and used every possible moment to continue to listen. The narrator was phenomenal! I am sure she is in high demand as she added so much power to the book. Truly THE BEST

The reader reads with a very breathy voice. The first 3 books I listened to were read by Amanda Leigh Cobb who reads the books way better. This reader reads Feyre as a scared child, which she has rarely ever been. Imagine Feyre at her lowest when she was with Tam or Elain when she's hollow and empty. This is how this reader voices every female character including Morrigan and Nesta. It's horrible and i wish i would have sampled it before I bought it. If I could refund, i would.

I was disappointed in this book. I thought it would've had more of a captivating story like the others but it fell flat. The others had love scenes but I feel like it was constant in this one. UGH. Some if fine but when it overshadows the rest of the storyline, I get bored. I thought it odd also that all of a sudden the author is using explicit language when this wasn't really used in the others. The narrator was terrible. I was used to the narrator who did the others and she was great but how this one chose to voice Mor, Azriel and even Feyre? Terrible. They all sounded depressed and the scratchy, raspy voice of Azriel was just distracting. It's sad, I was looking forward to this book but I was definitely underwhelmed at every turn.

Another magnificent book. The narrator great. I cannot wait for the next book. In few words exceptional work. The writer has a great gift. I said it before and I am saying it again. Her work so far is superb. I liked all narrators for this book series. Please write a book about Elain. Thank you

After reading this series, I can’t find joy in any other book I’ve picked up after reading this series. The author does an amazing job at bringing you into the world

Sarah Maas is a Baaad B! lol I love her details to description, her books make me feel like I'm watching a movie or television series! Even though this book wasn't my favorite only because I'm not a fan of Nesta, I still couldn't get enough of it! I look forward to the next one! Oh and at 1st the narrators voice annoyed me but after a couple hours I think I just got use to it.

Great end to a wonderful series. Almost everything you could want wrapped up, the author has taken care of with plenty of detail. A transformation from start to finish. A joy to read. Thank you Sarah J l. Maas.

Love this series and this book. I normally like to listen to the audiobook as I read along a physical copy but for this one I couldn’t listen, the new narrator completely changed the vibe of the characters that was set by the previous narrator. Previously Cassian and Azriel seemed somewhat goofy, but this narrator made them come off way more harsh. And I completely stopped listening after hearing the voice for Mor, she’s basically a different person with the voice given here. I think she would be great if it were purely Nesta she read for though

This book was good. Was a little disappointing since this is the last book I believe and it kind of leaves you hanging I don’t really really like that at all actually. The narrator was not the best. Honestly, I think she might be OK with different books but the previous books in this series compared to this one… nothing alike at all, so it really makes it kind of irritating to listen to. The voices didn’t fit the character.

I loved the book but hated the narration sadly. For me, there was too much of a weird aggressive whisper she gave almost all the characters.

This book was much better than I thought it would be. I was hesitant as I wanted tonfollow the same characters I have grown to love, but you still get that along woth great character growth and knowledge about others.

The narrator suckkkkkkkks. Such a good book but the narrator ruined it. She is so breath-y and unnecessarily trying to be sultry. And what is that voice she does for the males. Why do they sound like they smoke 7 packs of cigs a day. God. She ruined the experience.

Not the best book in the series but probably a second best.. it really makes you look inward and there are some fantastic feel good moments as well as some tear jerkers.

This book reads more like a romance novel than any of the others in the series. Enjoyed the character development for Nesta and focus on characters outside of Feyre and Rhysand. The last third of the book was so full of action and twists that I devoured it.

Full of excitement and solutions. Could barely wait for the next chapter. Lots of detailed sex, which I would not recommend to any young adult. Good series. The ending says to me, there will be another...I thought the narrator did a fine job with all the characters

I wish I could give zero stars for the narrator. After two books with ALC, this narrator ditches the voices and personality idea of everyone we’ve developed. It’s really hard to listen :( wasted credit. Switching to the graphic audio

Completely changed the vibe of the characters compared to the other books

I just cant with the gym bro giving personal training and the meditation classes. This author does not let anything to imagination or mystery. The stories are to straight forward and basic. Also, it does notmatter how strong will the author presents the main character as strong willed, she seemes shaped by men.

This book. Oof so good. But this narrator was a raspy wet blanket. Pleaseeee don’t use her again.

I enjoyed the story of Nesta as much as Feyre’s. I’m waiting for one now on the third sister’s adventures. I loved the narrator, her reading was a lot more passionate than the previous two’s.

Loved the book! Disliked the narrator- not only starkly different from the first two narrators of this series but doesn’t match the characters at all.

at first when I noticed the narrator and the whole story shifted from Feyra to Nesta I had a big down. Thought it was the typicall shift that would fuck Up the saga for me. but let me tell you that Nesta is my new super hero and I found myself addicted to her story and romance even more than Feyras. I think I will hear this book a couple of times as it twists something in me, but it's a good enjoyable twist ;)

I truly enjoyed this series. But WHY in this last book such graphic love scenes?? Definitely BORING after the first time and the reason for the 4 stars. Thank goodness for the possibility of fast forwarding in the audio! I also did not get the add on audio bit on the very last chapter - after the End. I would however, gladly continue with this series, if there were more - Elaine, for example. How does SHE fare? The Narrator was OK.

I agree with the rest of the reviews. This book was really good.. more graphic intimate scenes than in previous books.. not suitable for kids. The Narrator did pretty good, except for Azrael's voice.. that was a struggle to listen to. Luckily he doesn't talk much.

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but I liked this book best out of the series. Nesta’s evolution was so well written and I loved how friendship was depicted. It wasn’t just about the guy, although Cassian is swoon worthy. Just a really good book from start to finish.

I absolutely love the book, the series, the author. The Narrator is great as well. I gave her 4 stars only because of personal preference on the way she made some of the characters sound. For example, Azriel's character she gave a deep raspy kind of tone. I never envisioned any of the Fae characters with a raspy tone. Ones I did were King Hybern, Bryaxis, The Weaver etc. Other than tiny things like that she was great!
