Summary
The eagerly awaited new book from the Emmy-winning, Oscar-hosting, Daily Show-anchoring Jon Stewart--the man behind the megaseller America (The Book).

Where do we come from? Who created us? Why are we here? These questions have puzzled us since the dawn of time, but when it became apparent to Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show that the world was about to end, they embarked on a massive mission to write a book that summed up the human race: What we looked like; what we accomplished; our achievements in society, government, religion, science and culture -- all in a tome of approximately 256 pages with lots of color photos, graphs and charts.

After two weeks of hard work, they had their book. Earth (The Book) is the definitive guide to our species. With their trademark wit, irreverence, and intelligence, Stewart and his team will posthumously answer all of life's most hard-hitting questions, completely unburdened by objectivity, journalistic integrity, or even accuracy.

This is one of the worst books I have listened to. I thought it would be funny, being by Jon Stewart, but it wasn't. It was supposed to be a fictional letter to aliens, about life on earth, but halfway through the first disc, I turned it off and sent it back. Don't waste your time with this one!!

big fan of stewart. not a fan of the book. was more a list of topics for the entire book with 2 line commentaries on each topic. not a lot of flow.

This book was so original and witty! I was totally impressed and entertained. I have always enjoyed the Daily Show, but this book takes a crack at all sorts of issues that don't come up in a daily "news" show. I highly recommend it!

I really like the TV show, but I couldn't get past the first CD when I sent it back.

Just plain silly. I expected so much more. I looked forward to great humor. I was very disappointed.

As much as I enjoy John Stewart and was looking forward to his book, I couldn't force myself past the first CD. A prior reviewer stole my descriptive word - Painful. It was poorly written and irritating to listen to. It would, however, be interesting to see Stewart interview himself to see if he has a sense of humor about writing a truly crappy book.

If you think John Stewart's work is humorous, skip this book because it will tant your view of him forever. I loved his book "America" and thought this would be the same, but it was poorly written, rarely funny and hard to follow.
