Erin Sterling casts a delightful spell with a spine-tingling romance full of wishes, witches, and hexes gone wrong.

“A delightful and witty take on witchy mayhem.” — Popsugar

Nine years ago, Vivienne Jones nursed her broken heart like any young witch would: vodka, weepy music, bubble baths…and a curse on the horrible boyfriend. Sure, Vivi knows she shouldn’t use her magic this way, but with only an “orchard hayride” scented candle on hand, she isn’t worried it will cause him anything more than a bad hair day or two.

That is until Rhys Penhallow, descendent of the town’s ancestors, breaker of hearts, and annoyingly just as gorgeous as he always was, returns to Graves Glen, Georgia. What should be a quick trip to recharge the town’s ley lines and make an appearance at the annual fall festival turns disastrously wrong. With one calamity after another striking Rhys, Vivi realizes her silly little Ex Hex may not have been so harmless after all.

Suddenly, Graves Glen is under attack from murderous wind-up toys, a pissed off ghost, and a talking cat with some interesting things to say. Vivi and Rhys have to ignore their off the charts chemistry to work together to save the town and find a way to break the break-up curse before it’s too late.

This book feels like it may have started as fan fiction. The sex scenes, if that's what you want to call them, felt a little cheesy. Beginner smut, if you will. If those scenes were taken out or maybe a little less graphic, because I have read YA novels with heated scenes and talk of sex, then I think this book would do well among YA audiences. The storyline was mostly good but the end was not that spectacular.

Vivi & Rhys are the classics second chance relationship, they meet 9 years earlier & it ended with Rhys being betrothed to someone else, her & her cousin cursed him. They have to figure out how to end that curse. Highly recommend, this light, and funny rom com

Cute little story for a seasonal, lighthearted read. The narrator had a mildly annoying habit of reading in a rhythmic lilt that always ended in a questioning-style upbeat. I, personally, found that distracting but her vocal tone was lovely.

Book was very witty and fun but the ending left a little (emphasis on little. Easily still a 4 star read) bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Overall had a good time.

One of those books I finished because I started it. I’m not sure if I missed a chapter but not sure the point of this book. Or what the ending was. Disappointed
