Unabridged Audiobook
I really should’ve listened to my friends last year when they harassed encouraged me to read this book. I’ll admit now, I was reluctant and kept putting it off. It was strictly personal preferences on my part that had me delaying—and I’ll further admit I never would’ve read it if it wasn’t for them. So, thanks to everyone who pushed me to read Feral Sins. Why did I wait so long? Two reasons. 1.I don’t normally enjoy paranormal and erotica together. I love erotica and I love paranormal, but typically I don’t like the blend. I find paranormal stories take a little more world building, and if the pages are filled with sex scenes it’s difficult to lay the ground work for the fantasy world. I usually feel like it’s rushed or incomplete. Luckily, Suzanne Wright did an awesome job building this storyline. Also, I felt the sex scenes fit in well with the possessive wolves and mating bonds story line. 2.The other reason I avoided Feral Sins is because I’m a team fang over team fur girl. I’ve always preferred vampires over werewolves or shifters. Don’t ask me why, I don’t have a sensible reason. Generally, I enjoy shifter books much less. Regardless of my illogical preference for vampires, I still liked this storyline. One of the things I often dislike in a werewolf book is the fated to mated theme that seems to always be predominant. It was in there in Feral Sins as well, but it was done much differently. I loved that Taryn and Trey didn’t instantly love each other. They needed each other and entered a mutually beneficial arrangement, and the feeling developed naturally. It was a refreshing change from most werewolf books. I thought this story was well done. The story line was well developed, but not too complicated. The heroine has a sarcastic wit that had me chuckling quite often. The hero was a sexy Alpha wolf. Overall, it was a fantastic story and I look forward to more in this series.
First Impression: Mmmm… Trey is one HOT and broken werewolf alpha. What I liked: I was in the mood for a hot shifter/were romance and Wright delivered. But it wasn’t just a romance, it had some action outside the bedroom too. There was enough werewolf fighting and mystery sprinkled between the hot smut that it made for a satisfying paranormal listen. What I didn’t like: Taryn seems to have sex brought on Tourette syndrome. At first it was funny and snarky but after a while it got old. The Narration: Jill Redfield is the reason I picked up this audio. I loved her narration of the Crossfire series by Sylvia so I knew if I read this book I would do it on audio. Redfield really gets into those sex scenes. I don’t know that I would find them as hot if I read them. LOL Lasting Impression: Looking for a sexy werewolf read with a smart ass heroine and a sexually dominating alpha leader of the pack then Feral Sins is for you. Will I continue this series: Yes. I’ve already downloaded book 2, Wicked Cravings.
If you love danaka dark 7 series, you will love this book!
