Unabridged Audiobook
loved it. was unsure in parts but overall I really related to and enjoyed this memoir. would recommend ❤️
This was such a great read. So true about a functioning alcoholic and the lies, trials and tribulations. The family dynamic and everything...very real.
Enjoyed listening to this book. I don't have substance abuse issues but found the story interesting. Great narration.
I've been VERY close to addiction, never myself (mother, father, brother, cousins and friends) maybe that's why I just found so much of the first... 80% of the book so redundant. You only need to describe an alcohol/drug filled blackout so many times before we get it. My attention kept getting lost because nothing exciting, deep or scary or heart wrenching happened. I've seen all of those things often "near" addiction. The narrators voice matched the character but it seemed so monotone that I think it helped me get lost. I don't write many negative reviews (it's actually my first) but eh. Just seems it could have been so much more.
Really enjoyed this listen - and narrator voice was perfect.
Hit close to home. Loved the narrative. Dealing with addiction is tough but knowing you aren't alone in your thoughts help. It was like being in my own head.
I loved this book. Great read for anyone who has substance abuse issues. Thought the narration was terrific.
I loved this book. Well written & well narrated. A definite read/listen for anyone needing a push to quit the booze. Life really is better without it.
I enjoyed this story. It was thought provoking.
Not my sort of Book! The story line was a bit disjointed.
