I’ve written other reviews about this series & narrators they’re pretty similar to this one. I loved the book. Great story. Unexpected ending, epic final battle, genuine love story, the epilogue chapter made me cry AT WORK, lovely found-family vibes. Unfortunately the male narrator killed it for me. I would dread his chapters. His voice was too forceful, constantly felt like he was angry. When he would narrate women’s dialogue, he would have awkward unnecessary rhythm and pauses as well as awful high pitched squeakiness. I couldn’t tell where once sentence ended and the next began. Truly might be the worst narrator I’ve ever listened to. On the other hand, the female narrator was incredible. If it had just been her the entire book I would have given a 10/10
