Summary
'The Innocent Mage is come, and we stand at the beginning of the end of everything.'

Being a fisherman like his father isn't a bad life, but it's not the one that Asher wants. Despite his humble roots, Asher has grand dreams. And they call him to Dorana, home of princes, beggars, and the warrior mages who have protected the kingdom for generations.

Little does Asher know, however, that his arrival in the city is being closely watched by members of the Circle, people dedicated to preserving an ancient magic.

Asher might have come to the city to make his fortune, but he will find his destiny.

LOTS of DRAMA. I like most kinds of drama but I hate it when a character you like is mad and wont listen. There was just too much of that in here for me. Way too much. The 1st half o the 1st book was awesome! The rest left me feeling depressed. The ending was pretty good, but it wasn't good enough to make it worth enduring the whole second book.

I've read this this book and the other three books in the collection: The awakened Mage; prodigal Mage etc. I think I've read this title no fewer than six times since I've had them. What can is say? Some of the best fantasy fiction I've read. A good story, excellent character's - they gel excellently. A good mixture of friendship, treachery and loss all in equal measure, what more can you ask.

Gotta agree with the last guy(Steve B), MC is annoyingly stubborn and i dislike his attitude through out the first book!

I agree with Steve B great story. Not predictable. The main characters were too stubborn, unwilling to listen or bend. Often left me irritated.

Great start to this series. The narrator was amazing. I’ve heard him narrate other books and will listen to him again for sure. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I send me pictures of very good book. The author did a good job and flushed out the world well enough. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
