Summary
Now considered a classic in the field, this remarkable book was the first to fully explore the mystery of life between lives. Journey of Souls presents the first-hand accounts of twenty-nine people placed in a 'superconscious' state of awareness using Dr. Michael Newton's groundbreaking techniques. This unique approach allows Dr. Newton to reach his subjects' hidden memories of life in the spirit world after physical death. While in deep hypnosis, the subjects movingly describe what happened to them between lives. They reveal graphic details about what the spirit world is really like, where we go and what we do as souls, and why we come back in certain bodies.

Through the extraordinary stories in this book, you will learn the specifics about:

-How it feels to die

-What you see and feel right after death

-When and where you learn to recognize soul mates on earth

-Different levels of soul: beginning, intermediate, and advanced

-What happens to 'disturbed' souls

-The purpose of life and manifestation of a 'creator'

I approached this non fiction book with an open mind, as if it were a fictional account of life after death. Using this approach I enjoyed it as a group of short stories with a common theme. As I continued through to the end, I found myself hoping and at times accepting that there could be truth in what the author discovered when discussing the lives of his patients under hypnosis. I am skeptical of the conclusions, yet hopeful that they are true. At any rate, it is an interesting read to anyone looking for a deeper meaning to our lives

I thought this was super intriguing. I love that they didn’t go into religion at all but told stories about the similarities between all of his clients.

Much of the book was very believable and meshed with what my mind and heart believe to be true. Toward the end, however, it seemed a bit contrived and hard to assimilate.

A few years ago I was very ill for over a year. It’s possible that I had a near death experience but I don’t know. That year was traumatic and years later I still have flashbacks but not all that comes back to me is bad. Things happened that at the time I thought were drug or stress induced and I have tried to cut through my confusion, doubt, fear and sometimes happiness. I have been worried that death would be a soft, floating, comfortable blackness. The past few years I have been trying to come to terms with that thought. This book was like finding a single thread in a tangled mess. There is an alternative for the darker thoughts and real comfort. I’ll wait a while and read this book again. There is more information to welcome.

I think the information was really good but, I really did not like the way the narrator tried to act out the peoples responses. He wasn’t in the room with those people he had no idea how the people were talking so his interpretation of the dramatic, way too dramatic, emotional replies was super irritating to me. I think I would rather have just read the book instead of listening to it.

I enjoyed the book/study as I do believe we make more than one trip through. Near the end, the numerous exchanges among guides appeared too involved for the journey of a soul. However, it’s based on interpretation of the one being hypnotized. I got what I came for… deeper insight of purpose.

This book gives hope that We will see our loved ones one day. God is love. Our soul has to work and learn how to return to God.

Fascinating book! Seems to be too many consistent stories for it not to be true! I had a hard time getting used to the narrator's voice. By the end the book I had seemed to have gotten used to it but I wish it had been a different narrator. He's got a very distinct voice that was distracting.

Life is full of mysteries and this book provides reasons to support that. I enjoyed it and some it really hit home. The levels of comfort in some new situations or with some new persons. Other parts were of interest before earth sensing times. What might have been planned. The doctor asks questions to direct conversation so it was unusual and mysterious
