Unabridged Audiobook
Great book. Very well narrated.
This explains Chomsky better than Chomsky, and the narrator made accessible all sorts of strange sounds, clicks, gutterals, and sibilants in a way not possible through any written text. For a non linguist, this made a usually boring subject quite enjoyable.
A very informative title in the field of linguistics. When engaging with The Language Instinct, be prepared for a lot of evidence to back up points which, at times, can be tedious to listen through. Some of Poker's humour is missed in the dry narration by Arthur Morey but overall it is read well. Solid title for anyone interested in language and the mind. Can be approached by beginner's but is better suited for intermediate's in linguistics.
