Eric Ries changes the way we thing about production in the modern era. One of the most powerful section is The Five Why's. Easy... very difficult to apply. Eric should write a follow up book called The Five Why's
This is a great book. I really good reference for anyone starting a small business.
Nice concept but extremely repetitive.. could have been much more concise
Interesting paradigm, though the book could have been less repetitive
I started a business without knowing about this book and all my mistakes was mentioned in the book
I felt kike the editing team was trying too hard to make this seem edition relevant in a time when online social systems are changing far too rapidly. It already felt dated and I kept finding myself wishing i had just purchased the original. I like to listen for what the “patterns” of the wisdom is, then apply that to the context/details, but I felt like much of that was lost in their “try too hard”. Besides - digital still hasn’t trumped the power of human to human interaction.
Plenty of examples of real startup problems and solutions.
A bit long for my taste, talks about own experience all the time, if you really want to learn about a lean startup might as well look for Taiichi Ohno, the creator of the Lean Manifacturing
Gives a practical plan with relevant examples on how to and how not to run a startup. Good work Indeed!!
I've listened to the Lean Start Uo 6 times in the last 6 months. I learn new things each time. Can't recommend it enough!
Insightful and uplifting in a time of uncertainty. Really encompasses the struggles of starting your own business. Very good read and really makes you consider your approach to business.
The bible for entrepreneurs in all stages of startup development.
Overall, the book provides plenty of useful information. I see this as a credit well spent. Could do with a bit less self-aggrandizement by the author. Narration is flat, but easy to hear.
