Summary
The deliciously delightful first book in the new Seaside Cafe cozy mystery series. Sun, sand, and tea are just three of Everly Swan's favorite things. Her batty beekeeping great aunts and small, coastal hometown of Charm, North Carolina, round out the top five. So returning to Charm for a fresh start on her wilting life is an easy decision for Everly, and opening a new seaside cafe and iced tea shop puts the proverbial icing on her legendary lemon cakes. Everything is just peachy until a body turns up on the boardwalk outside her home, and a jar of her proprietary tea is found at the victim's side. Now, Detective Grady Hays, Charm's newest and most mysterious lawman, has named Everly as his number one suspect, and Everly's new start is about to go up in smoke unless she can dish up the real killer.

Easy to listen to story. Great narrator with great story line. What I liked the most though was that there was no filth or filthy language! Not needed. A good book stands on its own. Thank you, Bree. Now I can read all of your stories and recommend them to my friends who like a good mystery.

Enjoyable, fun listen. I hope the aunt characters are further developed in future books.

A light-hearted small town murder mystery and character tale, big on the tale around the main characters, a little less heavy on the who-dunnit. But totally enjoyable & great narrator!

I agree with other reviewers about the main character being sort of stupid. I did enjoy the setting and the narration. I will listen to the next book and hope she gets smarter.

I truly did not enjoy this - not because the concept of the tale wasn’t good, but because I found the central character annoying, tedious and just plain ‘clueless’. If she is truly representative of young adults in the American South (even as a caricature), then I’m dismayed. She has no redeeming qualities, in my opinion.

I had to take a few points off, because Everly was a character who I would classify as too stupid to live, which got annoying, but otherwise it was fairly enjoyable and well read.

I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy listen with great narration. The story line was really easy to fall into. The narrator did a great job helping you feel the emotions of each character. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Clever title, witty book really well narrated. Really enjoyed listening to this. The expression of the narrator really helped get into the story. Have downloaded more and will definitely read the next in the series. Thanks for a mind drift to somewhere warm and witty
