This novel brings oneself back to youthful thoughts. It easy to fall for Alaska. Yet, do you ever really know a person?

Great story with well formed characters. I read it to understand why it was on the banned book list of 2023. As the mother of teen boys, I think the justification given by those saying it is "inappropriate" is insufficient. It handles complex topics of life, love, loss and growing up in thoughtful and authentic ways.
