Unabridged Audiobook
I found Glennon's book to be powerful and insightful. It touches on the gender issues of how a lot of us were brought up - body issues for women and not expressing feelings for boys and men. I found helpful insight that I can use in my own life to help me deal with relationship issues and how I view myself even though I've never had the same body image issues that she went through. I did find that she had a tendency to go on and on about some of the petty issues to the point that I really thought, ok, stop now. But overall found the book helpful and insightful and would recommend it.
Simply stated deep truths! I was compelled to listen during all my free moments. Really felt like a story that offered solutions to all the moments in life. This or that choices to whittle away the complex emotional clutter crisis can throw into our space.
What a refreshingly honest memoir about love and relationships with others and ourselves.
Amazing journey through life’s ups and downs. Her ability to keep shifting and working on herself is inspiring!
Just an amazing authentic writer.
Whining throughout the book. Was really hard to get through the first few chapters. The tone of the book continues to be a self inflicted victim mentality.
This was the most amazing book about restoration I could even imagine. Yes, she’s an artist and a wonderful writer, but her story and how they healed themselves is just incredible! Love Warrior has blown my mind. I can see why Oprah picked it to help us. I believe I listened to a podcast and that’s how I found it. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I have a lot of work to do! Thanks for opening my eyes. ♥️♥️♥️
Although I am 64 years old this young woman’s story resonated with my experience with divorce and marriage 20 years ago-and the self betrayal I went through for my children- and then the enlightenment that forgiveness to myself for my humanness and the gift of crisis to discover something inside of me that is raw and real and compassionate.
Worth the read.
Honest and raw, just as it should be.
Overall a good book. It was insightful and thought provoking. There were times where the book was too wordy but overall it was a good book.
Wow. Such truth and vulnerability in her words. I feel inspired after listening to her hardships that she decided to work through instead of continuously running from. Anybody that has struggled in a portion of aspect of their life can recognize themselves in this book. Waiting for her next book!
Glennon is a new author to me. I found her personal insight was so honest as if the character really went through the processes from childhood, teen, to woman and mother and I was reading her mind, or her diary. I've never read an author that can nail the intimate vulnerable emotions like this author. Yes she goes on a lot about the issues and how she relates and reacts to them, but if your a woman and deal with the monkey chatter in your mind then you will be able to relate, and learn from the messages in this book. I had many insights as I was really able to relate to her trying to do the right thing and make a better life for herself. I'm thrilled to have found this read and this author.
The narrator is the author! Also I loved it. It was powerful and moved me. I related a lot and am glad I can be a love warrior. There is a lot of repeat and stuff that is "fluff" and I want to just move on but I got through it and it was pleasant.
Wonderful and insightful. I felt like I was with Glennon on her journey. Beautiful.
I listened to both of her books back to back and while I think there are some good messages, for the most part I think she is just over the top. I got tired of listening to her pick every little thing apart to the 9th degree. Sometimes you just have to roll with things. I felt anxious and stressed through the whole thing.
I liked it for the most part, but some of this comes off as pretentious and heavy handed. There are a lot of truths here, but it's also a bit much in the way she handles things. The narrator was good, fitting, which helped. I'm giving the narrator a better score than the author. I think it's an interesting read, but the 2 hours drag on. The connection to her husband never seems very real or full of love to me in the beginning or the end. And isn't that part of the point? Maybe I'm just a cynic.
AMAZING!! Would totally recommend, and have! Bought recently for my best friend for her birthday! I love this book!
Great listen. Very Raw. Can relate on so many levels.
I like that the author read the book herself! That was a special treat!
This was a great audio book! The narrator's voice was soothing and perfect. The story had many thoughtful and meaningful takeaways. I highly recommend it.
Perfect in every way. Inspiring and raw, as Glennon always is. I hope I am a better person after listening to this audiobook
Glennon's voice was perfect.....soft and soothing. Loved it.
Glennon's story touched and impacted me deeply and it was so compassionate and warm and well-written. This reminds me a lot of Eat Pray Love. Maybe even better in certain ways.
So real and raw and vulnerable. No other book like it's kind. Loved it.
