Unabridged Audiobook
This was a phenomenonal read and the narrator was exceptional.
A sweet but predictable story. The love interest is a dream boyfriend yet lead is in denial the whole book.
The author describes everything with so much detail (with so many adjectives) - it is magical! The author paints a vivid story you can picture in your mind. Beautifully written. I loved this about the book. The downfall for me was the main character. She is apparently slow and also an annoying tease. Her farm is being terrorized, and she's noticing how handsome the assistant police officer is... Really?! The police officer shows up to help find the person vandalizing her home, her place of business, (and the love of her life is in danger), and the Officer has to ask 4 times where the person currently is in the farm!? The main character is pretty oblivious as to "all" that is going on around her. It was very frustrating. The narrator is very good: speaks well, uses the right tone and speed, and has a pleasant voice. I'd still recommend it.
This was a good little love story, though I personally found it frustrating that the protagonist was so clueless about things that were so obvious to everyone around her and us as the readers. That being said, it’s probably very relatable to people who can identify with her fear that the people who love you will leave you, and the ending was very satisfying in that regard.
Sweet and cute book. Great narrator.
Loved this book! Great Christmas story with a little R rated romance!
I absolutely loved this book! It's the perfect Christmas, feel good, romcom-type read with extremely likable characters. The author does a fantastic job making you feel like you really know these people through short and interesting back stories sprinkled in, great dialogue, and the actual plot. The tension between the two main characters and the pacing of story are perfect. It's like a much better Hallmark movie with spice. Would definitely recommend! I'm excited to listen to/read the others in the series.
It's such a cute story, but the way it's read makes you fall in love with the characters!!!
If you like Christmas movies borderlining with erotic novels you will probably enjoy this. Easy listening heartwarming book with not much of a story to it but sometimes you just need a book like that. I just wish there weren’t 20 min sex scenes where characters just trying to find a reason why they shouldn’t do it.
Just horrible! Sorry I downloaded it.
Just not my cup of tea. I'm rather disappointed that it was a VIP choice.
The P lot was poorly developed. Conversation with main characters was somewhat unrealistic. Enjoyed the descriptions about the farm.
The story was uninspiring and flavourless but the good narrator saved it.
It was just plain good and what I needed to hear. I wanted to buy the paperback and send it as a Christmas gift 2/3s through
A friends to lovers, pretend to real romance. The direction of the story is clear from the beginning, but when things really heat up, the characters make it meaningful. I will probably listen to others in the series as I want to deepen my understanding of all the characters.
I loved this book! I listened every second that I could and then devoured the next two in the series. This is a new modern twist on traditional romance. It feels …..possible! The steamy scenes are so detailed and yet not even a little bit raunchy. The narrators voice is superb with a ton of feeling. She absolutely nails the emotions! Really impressed!
Hallmark movie in a book with a lot of sex.
It was a really well written book. Silly, meaning a bit juvenile, but also warm hearted and and sexy. I enjoyed it as a light hearted romance. The bit of intrigue about things occurring on the tree farm was a nice touch. Loved the different characters.
I couldn’t put this down! I was expecting a little cheesy hallmark story but it had more depth to it. The narrator was great. Definitely has some good spicy scenes if you’re not into that you will probably not enjoy this. If you’re in your late 20s this isn’t too young adult!
