Summary
For years Chuck Palahniuk has reserved his best storytelling for his readings, often choosing to read a new short story instead of whatever novel he is supposed to be promoting. MAKE SOMETHING UP compiles these previously unpublished tails for the very first time, plus the Byliner social media insta-classic 'Phoenix' and Palahniuk's most notable pieces from Playboy.

If you don’t know that Palahniuk’s writing is straight up disturbing (disgusting at times) and bizarre, this is not for you. I’ve read a few of his books so I found this entertaining and the stories really stuck in my head. Gets a little boring in the middle but picks up again in the last few tales.

This was ... meh. Don't get your hopes up for this one. The stories are random and don't excite you in any shape or form. Read something else. Credit goes to the narrators having to read these boring stories.

Collection of stories. some of which are good and others are pure garbage.

This was a 'VIP' free book (the only one in the list that looked even remotely interesting). But no thanks. I didn't even get through the first story. Life is just too short to hear some of that content. There are a million things I'd rather listen to. I would have given 0 stars if I could.

some of these stories are horrific, but some are extremely good

This book is filled with crude stories. I felt like I was on a construction site with drug addled worker telling me stories about what happened to a friend. Stories you can’t unhear? These are stories you’d never want to hear. I could only listen to 3 - 4 stories. Really really really bad. The only bright spot? I used my free VIP credit for this book.

Once again, Chuck Palahniuk makes me love reading and leaves me wanting more at the end of each short story.
