Summary
What if the Lift driver who finds your cheating boyfriend's phone holds the directions to true love?

'Who are you and why do you have my boyfriend's phone?'

'He left it in my car. You must be the blonde in the red dress? I'm the Lift driver who dropped you two off earlier.'

And with these words, the life of the brunette and t-shirt wearing Maya Maas is turned upside down. Having planned to surprise her boyfriend, she finds herself single and stranded in an unknown city on her birthday.

So when the mystery driver rescues Maya with the suggestion that she cheers herself up at a nearby beach town, she jumps at the chance to get things back on track. She wasn't expecting a personalised itinerary or the easy companionship that comes from opening up to a stranger via text, let alone the possibility it might grow into something more...

Am I the only one annoyed by the narrator' s pronunciation of " anything" and "everything" :)

Cute story. Narrator pronounced a few words in a way I've not heard before. She did a good job, but her American accent needs fine tuning. Overall, enjoyed this book.

I thought this book was adorable, everything you want in a love story

Very predictable, of course but okay for an easy summer romance book. the narrator pronounces anything like "ennathin' - pet peeve for me but otherwise did a good job with different characters.

Easy listen and cute, but very predictable.

Story was good except for the main character was frustratingly stupid about who Max was. It was so obvious; so for her and her friend not to even suggest it was annoying.

Amazing read!! Couldn’t stop listening to it. Narrator has a nice voice and is good at doing different tones for each character.

I found it slightly impossible to believe the main character as a writer could not guess and was so painfully getting the wrong end of the stick constantly. It was a quick listen though somewhat frustrating at times. Accent wise and word pronouncing I didn't find any issue with personally.

This book was very entertaining and enjoyable the narrator did a great job. I really enjoyed this read and be able to see/ hear the two sides of the story what they felt saw heard did two different point of view to the same encounter. Love at first text totally recommend as soon as it was done I wanted to hear it all over again !

The story is fine, but I can't believe the author stretched this predictable plot into 83 chapters. While you can tell the ending very early on, it's still a fine Hallmark type story. The narrator is a bit annoying and has some strange pronunciations as is mentioned in most other reviews.

Interesting story line, but the main female character was immature, whinny, and dumb. It wasn’t just HER story, it was his story too. She annoyed me.

slow to start with, but once I managed to get into it I really enjoyed it.

The overall book is a nice relaxing story with a well deserved happy ending. The narrator does pronounce words weird and makes the main character sound whinny.

It was a good story, but predictable ending. The narrator annoyed me with her pronunciation of "anything" and "everything", since they were words used many times throughout the book. I also think that it took an extra long time to reveal who the driver really was. All in all, for a "free" book, it was tolerable and passed the time away while driving.

If you’re looking for a simple love story this is the one. It’s predictable, but sweet.

Why do romantic novels always portray the woman as a vapid moron? Why would any man be attracted to someone so incapable of mature thought? This story could have been entertaining if there was one shred of clever conversation between the main characters. And the narrator can’t pronounce basic words. I can forgive a speech impediment but hard to listen to her poor timing and poor pronunciation of words like San Francisco. There’s such good writing out there. And narration. Skip this book if you enjoy either of those.

The plot is weak and dull. The narrator’s voice is all squeaky and lack proper emotion.

Interesting story with some twists and turns although the ending was not unexpected.

The plot is a good one, but the narrator is very whiny and there are so many holes in the story it makes it hard to get really engaged. Especially the very distorted sense of time and the idea that 1-2 people can run a thriving cafe in Carmel. I can often suspend my judgement but in many cases in this book it’s just too absurd.

The narrative was good. The book started very slow, I almost stopped listening. But it came around. I enjoyed it. A little repetitive.

I don’t like when the obvious is left unnoticed. The two MC should of and could of said stuff sooner. Also a little more on to the ending would of been nice.

Tritest chick lit ever.

This book was truly adorable. I only really got frustrated over how long it took the MC to figure out her mystery. Otherwise the story was wonderful and I truly enjoyed it.

This is a very cute story that left me wanting to know what happened, would they ever meet face to face? If they did would they both feel the same. Very good and totalitarian worth the credit.

This book gave me all the feels! It was beautiful, wonderful and made my heart explode with hope, disappointment, then hope again, and then love!!! Seriously, it was a rollercoaster of emotions and I was hooked! The reader did make me laugh with how she said filet mignon and a few other words, but it’s not a big deal at all. Seriously, I want a sequel or an epilogue! I need to hear their love story continue!

This is a super cute story. I enjoyed this way more than I thought. I kinda expected the ending, however, it was still amazing. A cute heartwarming story that’ll will hoping cute LIFT driver’s are the next.
