Amazing story, as Odysseus symbolizes the ideal man, which holds true even to this modern age

As Adam Nicolson of The Mighty Dead, Why Homer Matters wrote (by the way, another fantastic audiobook), “ You don’t acquire Homer, Homer acquires you.” Wonderful, rollicking, inventive narrative of human strife, hard won glory and pathos, and despite the presence of gods and goddesses, mythical beasts like Cyclops and Scilla, still manages to be relevant today in its observation, with great understanding and empathy, of flawed humanity. Read by the great actor with warmth and richness, this audiobook is a treat.
