Unabridged Audiobook
A powerful and moving book. The character development was excellent.
A heart-felt moving book.
Disappointing and interminable. I like Picoult usually, but this was a big let down. The revelation at the end had been obvious from the start. The contrivance of contradictory, yet parallel narratives of the two main protagonists felt forced. The narrator did a good job, although the Amish submissive voice occasionally bled into the other character. I wanted to give up after the first few chapters. I wish I had.
Another winner!
good book. the Amish way of life is intriguing
Learned a lot about the Amish community through this book & can understand why the story is powerful. I was hooked after the first 1hr.
I wasn't interested in till midway and the book was way too long.
Not as strong as some Jodi Picoult novels, loved the descriptions of Amish life. The narration was very good especially Katie''s voice could really see her.
A captivating story which pulls the reader into the Amish life who call themselves "plain" due to their simple peace leading life. I learned a lot about the lifestyle of the Amish and their conflicts with the "English" lifestyle, while trying to understand what is the truth and what is coverage of it..
I'm so happy to have this app. It has very clear audio, it's convenient, and fits into my busy schedule.
