Great book. Lots of action but a sad ending. To me this is his most intense book so far. I’ve read the first twelve of the Gabriel Allon series so far. The English Girl book ending will blow you away, so don’t read it first.

Simon Vance is the best voice on the planet first, second, Daniel Silva writes in a style and from POVs that are unique and refreshingly real.

The plot was the usual Silva spy plot, which I thoroughly enjoy. I have read ( or heard ) all his books so far and have not been disappointed yet. However, this one was hard to get through because of the narrator. His inaccurate and over-dramatized accents did not help. Adrian Carter is scottish??? Good imitation of Sean Connery, though. If it wasn't for the plot that kept me glued to my earbuds, I would have stopped by chapter 2!
