Unabridged Audiobook
Mary Balogh is one of the best Historical Romance writers I've read/heard. If it were a book, I'd say, "I couldn't put it down", but as it was I listened to it in one setting. The narrator, Rebecca De Leeuw, had the ability to change her voice for each character, and be recognized--not an easy feat. I will look for her narrations in the future.
Wonderful book from start to finish. Narrator was terrific.
Truly enjoyed listening
Started a little slow, but the really great depth of characters and plot. I very much enjoyed and looking forward to the rest of the series.
I enjoyed survivors club the escape so listened to this. Don’t waste your time: this was so dull I couldn’t finish it. Like all these romances , it’s obvious from chapter 1 what the endings going to be but there’s no subplot to help you enjoy the ride. The class thing is done to death and it’s just dismal. Narrator does an adequate job but spoils it with some bizarre pronunciation
loved the characters
Another great MB book!
Good story, very slow pace but the narrator does a great job. If you do not like Jane Austen descriptive style DO NOT GO THERE. I was actually very impressed by who well written it is.
Great listen!!
Thoroughly delightful listen. Well written and exquisite narration
