Unabridged Audiobook
I LOVE Stone Barrington books, but this one was not good. Boring and a dumb ending. Going to wait for the next one. I believe it will better.
Stuart Woods continues to delight with the ongoing adventure of his principal protagonist, Stone Barrington. Unless you are very broad indeed, you will always learn something new and gain a keener understanding of how the other half lives. Imagining you are one of the good guys, there's always the pleasure of wishes extravagantly fulfilled coupled with the keen satisfaction of witnessing evil doers get their just comeuppance. If his novels have grown a little formulaic, there is great comfort in being able to predict certain outcomes, to inwardly chide our heroes when there overlook the obvious or fail to avail themselves of all the technologies and means at their disposal, leading to the predicaments that they must work their way through, in good measure and just the right number of pages to turn in a single sustained session, or as an audio book, enlivening a few brisk walks, or enchanting an otherwise dreary drive. Tony Roberts' worldly rasp is beginning to falter now and then in an endearingly avuncular fashion, but he remains the voice of Stone.
