Unabridged Audiobook
Read Common Ground when it came out in 1985. A Pulitzer Prize winner for nonfiction. Almost 40 years later, this is the emotional, but fictional, sequel. Draws you in and spits you out. Couldn’t stop listening. Great mystery narrated superbly.
Great story and excellent narration! I enjoyed listening from beginning to end.
I’m a big fan of Dennis Lehane and did not disappoint with this one. Totally drew me in and held me there. I was so into the story I listened to it in three days. A great read.
This indeed was an awesome soul shattering book. I growing up in Southie in the 70s, found myself connecting the dots throughout this book and unfortunately my mother was not as wonderful as his, this book stunned me nonetheless. Exceptionally well written, fantastically narrated deeply emotional, and more of a journey than a book.
Another great read by DL. Love seeing a female character playing such a bad ass
Incredible book. Taking very complicated characters and making them human. If you like The Departed you’ll love this. The narrator was maybe the best I’ve ever heard, doing male and female voices equally well, and perfect accents.
One of the best books I have ever listened to.
Great history lesson and kept your attention.
