What a great story. I thought it was going to be a light read/listen but it turns out not to be! Enjoyed every minute of it.

This book is so interesting and the narration is excellent. I have listened to it twice already. A must have in an audio book library.

I was craving more Jodi Picoult after listening to Small Great Things. The Storyteller did not disappoint! It was beautifully written, story lines magically woven into a tapestry with rich characters. Truly a masterpiece treating a tragic moment in human history on a personal level. Awesome!

Beautiful story! This is the second time I’ve listened to a book by this author and each time I’m captivated by the diverse viewpoints, the emotions of the characters, and the twists at the end. Although these are fictional characters, the author does a well done job of bringing all the complexities of real life histories to the table. I can’t wait to read the next one!

I really enjoyed this book. At first I was concerned because the book moves back-and-forth over several decades but it was very enjoyable and very suspenseful and with a surprising ending I thought the narrator did a good job.. Can definitely recommend this to others.

I was so torn all the way through the book, I could not put it down.

The writer brings words together to paint such a vivid picture. It was gut wrenching but I was unable to lay it down.

I did not know what to expect from this book. I did not expect such a detailed and wonderful story to emerge. The characters and the narrators were mesmerizing and I recommend this book to everyone.

It's quite slow to start, but it's worth sticking with. Quite a tasty tale & you can't listen with half an ear, or you'll get lost. It's certainly a story worth sticking with. Lovely narration, which brought the camp & it's prisoners alive so to speak. I would recommend this title

I meant to give this book 5 stars, not 1. I absolutely loved this story. As always, Jodi Picoult captures the reader from the start and keeps you so interested and emotionally involved until the very end. I found myself thinking about the characters at all times of the day and was sorry to have reached the end of the book. I found some parts hard to listen to but that the descriptions of the camps and the living conditions are so essential to the story that I had to keep listening. I highly recommend this book. A must read.

This one is one of my favorite audio books that I just happened to stumble upon the narration mixed with the different intertwining stories had me captivated the entire time!!!!

Excellent story and narrarator

wow. what a book. I was absolutely captivated all the way through. This story was quite something, to the point of having me in tears. It was worth every second of my time.

This was not what I was expecting to read, but so glad I did. Very full, very rich, a book about life unexpected. Strength when all should have been gone. Love in friendship and family in tragedy and war. Very well written and narrated, highly recommend.

Talks about the holocaust, the nazi's, love, loss, and living with the deaths caused hoping to die but living longer than wanted. So many levels in this story, showing every side, the good, the bad and the ugly. A recommended read for sure. #book36of2019 #bookworm #whatsnext

Took awhile to get into but once it picked up it was a great read

I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. The middle dragged just a little for me, but the rest was worth it!

Excellent story and reader

This story kept my attention throughout, actually some of it’s content was historical. Great story keeps you wondering how it’s going to end.

One of my favorite books. The narrating is excellent.

Who deserves forgiveness, and who has the power to forgive!? Picoult took us through raw details of the holocaust and many of the horrific treatment of the Jews.

oh my gosh what a powerful story...good to the last word. I literally could not put it down. Picoult has got to be the best storyteller out there...it was such an amazing story and kept me guessing right to the end. I was totally dumbfounded with the ending.

Really well written and narrated. I did however see the end coming from some way off which was a little disappointing. Still left u pondering questions at the end and was thought provoking.

Not my favourite Jodi Picoult, whose writing I normally love. I felt the ending was obvious from the middle of the book and then found myself just listening to prove myself right. Narration was excellent though.

Elegant, poetic language, plot line disjointed and distracting. Too many tangents and characters. A gothic fairytale embedded in the re-telling of a tragic Holocaust story within a modern day romance, all kneaded together in some very delicious sounding pastries

Beautifully written, increadiby sad,but a must read. I love the way she weaved in and out the generations, but the ending was a lesson in it self.

Loved the story, and the characters were amazing. Picoult is a master of words. There were times I could only smile because she phrased so beautifully.

Masterfully written. Piccoult is always able to give the reader a new perspective on a controversial topic, especially something you'd think you wouldn't budge on.

Very good listen. Couldn't stop at times. Looked forwards to returning to the book!
