Unabridged Audiobook
great story amazing narrator would listen again and again and will listen to the next one if it's released
It was choppy but good enough. Not the best writing but the narrator carries it. I had moments of being entertained and moments of not paying attention. The idea is there, decent plot. 20 hours is worth the credit to me. Honestly the narrator is the main draw it brings the book to life while the book itself is struggling to breathe, goodish, but struggling.
This was a fantastic book. The characters anger stemmed from cultural and societal pressures as he grew up which was explained nicely in the books. I enjoyed the constant struggle with his anger and I enjoyed the character arc as well. Looking forward to more in the series
I won't be continuing with this story. The first of the 3 was the worst of the books, and they generally got a bit better, but I just couldn't get past disliking the main character. He was just always angry and and the narrator heightened the anger in every way possible. It seemed like even when he wasn't angry, the narrator's enunciation made it seem like he was. It's an interesting take on the isekai/literary RPG genre, though in that it's more sci-fi leaning. The misogyny ruined it a bit as well, though.
