Unabridged Audiobook
I gave it 3 stars, because it was just interesting enough that I finished listening to it, and because the narration is good. The story itself is so cliche I don't feel as if that's a strong enough word. Is there a more cliche word for cliche? Dull characters, overdone story, average pacing. Not awful, but not on my recommended list.
The worst narrator ever!!!!! He has ruined the whole book!
I listens this years ago. I still love it. Such good story telling by Steve Berry.
Good book great story and well narrated.
I must be out of step on this one. All of the other reviews were positive. The only compliment I can put in the plus column is creativity. However, there were plenty of negatives. The plot was convoluted and contrived; the dialogue ridiculous. Can anyone imagine a cloistered monk saying "Screw yourself !" to a fellow clergyman? The best part of all about this selection is that it was abridged.
I enjoyed this book, and was only disappointed that it was the abrigded version - there were several unanswered questions at the end that left me a bit unsatisfied. But the story was engaging enough to keep me until the end. If you're a fan of Dan Brown, this is worth a listen.
One of the best stories that I have had the pleasure of enjoying in a long time! VERY thought provoking! Enjoyed every minute and listened to it twice!
I dont read many fiction books but this one was pretty good. It kept me want to read more and was interesting to the very end.
Shades of Dan Brown! What a spellbinding story line. Great characters. Very exciting and compelling.
The twists and turns were page turning. Following this story line was interesting. Learning more of the Knights Templar is facinating.
I really enjoyed the history in the book. The story line contained some interesting twists and turns. Overall, kept my attention and entertained me on my daily commute.
Protagonist Cotton Malone is no Robert Langdon, and author Steve Berry is no Dan Brown. The Templar Legacy's plot twists seem a bit ham-fisted and the narrative pace is in slow-motion after the roller coaster ride of a read offered by The Da Vinci Code. Nevertheless, for those with Holy Blood, Holy Grail fever, this book qualifies as an entertaining listen.
I really liked this book, it was a mystery and a very good story line and at the same time you learned a little bit of history.
