Unabridged Audiobook
Such a lovely captivating book. Well thought out and a beautiful story line.
This is little better than literary wallpaper, which does not justify the length. The account of life and the people of Cornwall is so far removed from the reality, that it may just as well be about unicorns. This seems like an exaggerated and illusory account of Cornish life as penned by an outsider. It lacks essential authenticity, which is aggravating for those of us who live here and know the truth. Burstall resorts to superficial cliche. The narrator makes a passable effort, but few in Cornwall speak with the resounding burr of her yokels.
Predictable, but an easy, light listen.
