The Twisted Ones

This book was crazy strange, I really liked it at first then it just turned into strange and I could not understand.

I loved this book! I find most thrillers, especially ones that feature elements of the supernatural, to be too far fetched to the point where it just becomes silly. I also tend to loose interest once "the monster is out of the closet" because it's either something ridiculous or something dull that's been done a million times. This was nothing like that. I was hooked from the start. I needed to know what the h*ll was going on! The protagonist was likable, she had a sense of realism and a "no b*llshit" attitude that made her very relatable and, at times, funny. the fact that her sidekick is a dog is a nice touch. Great and thrilling listen.

The beginning of the book was quite a bit of internal dialogue, but it totally picked up and was super good. I’m super happy I purchased it and have now started listening to another book by this author.

Enjoyed this book very much. Relatable, and continued to be off putting till the end.

one of my favorites in a long time

At first the narrator’s voice sounded like the automated voice on TikTok videos, but once she found her groove, she did so well!! She did a great job distinguishing between the protagonist, step grandfather, weird diary girl, and Foxy. Best thing I can say about this book is that I never felt bored!

A good story and good narrator.

I wanted to get into this book, I really did, but it wasn’t until after 19 chapters that I finally found myself interested in what was happening and what would happen next. Extremely slow build up to what could have actually been a very interesting story had it been presented differently.

I loved this book. It was funny and scary and I twisted myself around like the twisted ones.

Just didn’t do it for me. No suspense and anything truly shocking or frightening. Main character has an somewhat abrasive personality.

I love this book!! It’s scary, exciting, and original all at the same time. It’s been six months since I read it and I still think about it. It’s quite haunting and disturbing, but in a good way. I highly recommend it.
