Unabridged Audiobook
I was very disappointed with this story, especially given the good reviews it received from the like of NY Times, etc. The plot itself was very good but the book was not "tight." There were too many long reminiscences about the main character's childhood that went so far beyond what the reader needed to know as far as the plot. I felt that it was mawkish at times. The narrator was very good at straight narrative but when she took on the voice of a male character, it sounded a poor imitation of a man's voice. I would not recommend this book.
