I was disappointed by the book. It was going well for the first 2/3 of the book, then became uncomfortable. I found the coarse of the plot at the end to be a bit contrived and disjointed. It was disappointing, especially considering the author's past works. Had I not been as invested in it at that point, I would have dropped the book and, at the end, I wish that I had.
While the book maintains interest, it seems like he wrote part 2 first, realized it wasn't long enough and then wrote part 1. The book would have been better without part 1. It seemed disjointed.
Ok so this book has a long wait apparently because Koontz is a fantastic author and its a pretty new release. Well.....after 2/3 months of waiting I just went and rented it from the public library.
It is sooooooo slow I have almost given up ( which I never have with a Koontz ) It takes at least 5 discs to get somewhat suspenseful. This is the worst listen thus far as far as Koontz gets. I would skip it. Again this is my opinion and who knows you may enjoy it. I guess I like more suspense not hours of leading and over descriptive babble.
