Summary
Anna Karenina tells of the doomed love affair between the sensuous and rebellious Anna and the dashing officer, Count Vronsky. In Book 7, Levin, in town for Kitty's confinement, finds himself drawn to the corruptive influence of Moscow society. Stiva again presses Karenin to divorce Anna, while Anna, driven by jealousy, becomes increasingly irrational towards Vronsky. (Summary by Mary Anderson and MaryAnn)

Great classic

Congratulations to Mary Ann for the beautiful narration. This book is a masterpiece of litterature. Diving deep in human thoughts and emotions, as cruel and instinctive as they might be, without sugarcoating, but at the same time, with a graceful choice of wording and an intelligent and detailed description.

Really good read

Loved it! Wonderfully entertaining and beautiful! I was expecting the novel to be tedious, but I was surprised. There is a good variety of characters and at any given time there are at least two story arcs taking place. The only times I felt bored (admittedly due to my own ignorance) was when there was mention of anything political. I had a hard time adjusting to and found that I had to force myself to really pay attention when there was a revolving door of narrators. I definitely recommend it .
