Unabridged Audiobook
It’s beautifully written but is very much of its time when it would have been a good horror story. Nowadays people are so used to seeing blood & gore on TV, in movies & in real life that it seems tame in comparison. However, I think this & a lot of H. P. Lovecraft’s work has been inspiration for modern books, movies, TV etc. It’s worth reading/listening to. B. J. Harrison is a good, clear narrator.
This is not bad given the period it was written in. It read more like a documentary of events than an actual story from the modern time. If you read this, use an open mind on what old literature used to be like.
