Unabridged Audiobook
Know that this is a series, you can read this book for its own, but everything makes a lot more sense if you've read the earlier books. So the main characters are Fang and Aimee, a katagari wolf and a arcadian bear. They have been one of the pairs in the earlier books that I couldnt wait to read about. But they have to face hell in more ways then one and your heart will ache for them before the last page is done. In true Dark Hunter series manners, you will encounter all sorts of creatures and you will face some new ones. The book is a good one, it really is. But I dont really like the fact that its stretched out over several years where a lot of the other books are set in a small timeframe. I like the previous books so much that this one clashes with that. I dont like the new realm that is introduced, there are too many already and the two new groups of hunters just makes it feel like the author is going to milk any and every coin she can and make this world never ending in not a good way. I do love the series and this book is vital for the future books, but it makes me want to not really continue to read the series. Too many changes and I just feel that the fates were too cruel in this book. And that says a lot if you've ever read any of the previous books. I didnt cry this much for any of the others, and with the messed up history of characters as Acheron, Kyrian and Valerius, that says a lot. All in all, it is a good book, but at the same time I really didnt care for it, I had hoped for another destiny for one of my favorite couples.
