This book is a great book for both men and women, teen boys and teen girls! Very encouraging and will help those who may be in similar situations to grow. The only think I didn’t like about the book was all the cruse words. Very good book otherwise!

Loved this book, getting the audiobook for my god-daughter an encouraging her to share with her 5 brothers. Young people, especially young black men should read an heed the words of this GOD. I knew I'd be impressed, and am an even bigger fan now that I have insight to the whole man. Love the quotes an life lessons

The book didnt live up to the hype. It was a good read. I didn't get the life lessons I thought would be in this book. Alot of it was already told on the breakfast club. I felt like I heard the story already.

I enjoyed listening. Very informative outlook Charlemagne tha God journey. Great positive principles to add to daily affirmations.

The narration of this book was great as it came directly from the author. Being able to hear the inflection and emphasis on certain points gave life to the book as opposed to just reading words on a page.

It's an amazing book! I can sincerely say that it touched many areas in my life from growing up in Washington heights to adult hood. ITS A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO GREW UP IN THE HOOD!

I must salute you Charlamagne. This is an excellent book. The relevance, the similarities, the choices he made in life as a teenager, who he was as a child before puberty, his family, the attitude he brings, the power of truth, even his beliefs i.e. Spirits. All of these things reminded me and had me in disbelief due to the fact that I thought I was listening to a story about my husband (at least in the beginning). This book is open and honest. It is exactly what we need; real and with purpose. I hope he will chose to write more in the future.

I loved the book. I always listen to The Breakfast Club, the radio show that Charlemagne co-hosts. I love how he narrated it, couldn't imagine anyone one else doing it. It has some serious part and some funny parts. It's basically about several principles you need to adapt to become happy and successful in life and Charlemagne describes his traumas and tribulations from childhood to where he is now and how those principles helped him reach his goals. Great read.
