Unabridged Audiobook
Anyone who has read Swanson's Manhunt would be drawn to this new title and no disappointment with his latest. One of the most outstanding features of the work is the parallel narratives that juxtapose the Lincoln funeral pageant with the flight of Jefferson Davis...compelling to say the least. If you're looking for treatment of the hunt for Booth, best to look to the author's previous publication, but it's not necessary to the task at hand...tracing Lincoln's journey home to Springfield and Davis' steadfast refusal to believe that even after abandoning Richmond, the Confederate cause was not at a close. Bottom line, none better to bring the story home than Richard Thomas as narrator!
