I was initially quite dissapointed and nearly stopped listening after the first hour. It seemed such a depressing and pathetic story and I didn't want to go down that hole. However I persisted and I am glad I did. There were many surprises and turns in the story, and I ultimately found it quite fascinating. The narration was quite good and the individual characters were distinct.

I absolutely loved this book. From beginning to end, I could picture each and every character. I enjoyed the narrator, I enjoyed the writing, and I felt the story was the poignant and touching. There were parts where I laughed and parts where I sobbed. A wonderful book!

I had such high hopes for this book. It was good, but not great, and I felt it took too long to get to the turning point. But hang in there, there is one.
