Unabridged Audiobook
I found the story to be a bit slow and it was the most difficult book in the series to get through. I found my attention drifting at certain points. Katheryn Howard was the least interesting, in my opinion, of all Henry’s queens. So, it’s not surprising that the book was my least favorite. Having said that, I love Weir’s books and find them well written and I stand by my rating, even if the story itself was dull as dishwater. As always, I loved the narration. It was probably the saving grace of this book. If I had to read it without the benefit of narration, I’m sure I wouldn’t have finished it. After how much I loved the other audiobooks in this series, I was left wanting with this one. I’m greatly looking forward to the final book in this series.
