Unabridged Audiobook
Wonderful writing about the issues of love and loss clustered within a mystery that’s not quite as wonderful. Regardless, the sensitive and debatable issues of aging, loss of cognition and memories and taking what control one has left in their life, was well worth the traipsing through new and old dangerous relationships. More issues of victimization of our grey haired friends, though worthwhile to discuss, made the plot even less important. Again, I waiting for Book 4 and am glad I had the opportunity to hear it.
As expected: it's a great read.
The writing and the characters just keep getting better and better in this wonderful series. The balance of gentle, droll humor and real poignancy brings poetry to this group of clever, sweet and formidable seniors — and all the wonderful satellite folk now in their orbit. The plot is great. I love how the author gives a beautiful tribute to Stephen by making him the essential solution to the mystery this time around. Glorious!
These books always make me laugh and I love the friendships that the TMC gang have built. Also loved hearing about wonderful Allen!
twas good. it's quite nice going on adventures with the Thursday Murder Club. I preferred the narrator from the first book to this one.
The book was a great choice to listen to. I am sorry now that I read the first three books in paperback. I loved the different voices
I've read all of the Thursday Murder Club series, but 'The Last Devil to Die,' was absolutely the best! Very poignant , exciting and an incredibly wise story about Life, Love and Death. I laughed and cried, which I'm not wont to do while reading fiction, but I loved these characters so much. The comedy and pathos were written beautifully. I will always feel this was one of the best stories I've ever read.
