What an interesting story. Full of ideas about these "United States" and the argument for secession by any state. The Mormon church becomes a vehicle for the discussion. Berry, as usual, gives a great deal of history within his story & the reader is left to wonder which is true, which is fiction until the authors notes at the end.
Once again, Scott Brick does a masterful job of narrating. Not all of his narrations are top notch, but this one is.
Steve Berry likes to write about ideas, using his fictions to provoke thought. If you like to ponder ideas, his stories are for you.
I enjoyed the way that I was able to learn so much about China while engaged in the fictional setting of the book.
