Unabridged Audiobook
I have read practically every single book by Philip Margolin. He holds my interest the whole way through. My husband who reads mainly biographies and non-fiction, and very seldom reads or listens to fiction, was glued to this book. We listened to the whole book in a day. Highly recommend
This a great book it is exciting and good to listen to while you are driving
It was a good book to listen to. I liked it a lot. Not the best I've listened to, but I would recommend it. You will enjoy it, it keeps moving and keeps your interest up. It's easy to keep straight and has a good ending.
Man, this book bored me to tears. I could not even finish it. The reader was as uninteresting as the book. Wish I could have back the 2 hours I spent on it.
This was my first book by the author and I have no regrets. The book had a good pace and some interesting characters. I thought the author did a good job developing the characters going into the right amount of detail for each. I like the way he tied up all the loose end as the story progressed. The listener is not left wondering too much but just enough to keep you interested. I felt a bit lost at the end wondering what happened to the main character, but not enough to be disappointed. I thought the narrator did a great job. She did not overplay the voices of the characters but seemed to have a good grasp of the emotions she needed to interject. Her reading of the book added to my enjoyment of it for sure. Worth the listen.
On the whole, I definitely think this book is worth a read (or a listen). The writing was formulaic, but not condescending. The story flowed well, and the multiple plot elements came together nicely. I don't want to be spoiler for anyone, so I'll just say that the book ties up neatly in a nice bow that I can't believe would happen in real life. I found that I really didn't care about the characters all that much, and it felt really necessary for me to do so here. I didn't. I was unimpressed with the narrarator.
This book was as exciting as most of Phillip Margolin's books, but the only thing I didn't like about it was the ending left you wondering about what exactly would be the relationship between the two main characters.
