Amazing! Growing up, my father used to read Roald Dahl to us and so I have very precious memories of this story. Kate Winslet is brilliant reading this story. At first you are entranced listening to her lovely voice and then as she starts to narrate the characters you completely forget it is one person reading a story. She really brings the essence of this book to life and is beyond talented. Absolutely wonderful!
Loved the book! The audio was extremely difficult to hear clearly at times however. Very hard to hear in the car, and I’ve never had a issue with an audio book previously.
Great book, listened to it while on a road trip.
LOL I LOVE THIS BOOK ITS SO FUNNY!! AND MATILDA IS SUCH A BRAVE GIRL
I love Kate Winslet! I love the way she took time to do all the voices. It really brings the book to life! I just finished it and I'm listening again. I love this book!
Always loved this book, but Kate Winslet was phenomenal! Her reading was amazing!
Really enjoyed the story. However, the audio was difficult. The range from soft to loud was extreme, so that often I couldn't hear, then "Ouch! My Ears!" All of a sudden. Some of the character's lines (school headmaster, Hortencia) were read at such speed my mom-British ear couldn't follow
Beautiful book amazing author and Kate Winslet is amazing her voice for the book was the best choice ever. Matilda is amazing, never gets old.
I've listened to the book thousands of times. I'm trying to memorize the book it would be amazing to learn all of the words. On my chart of books it is #1.

Nothing is better than listening to Meg and Charles' adventure after a whole boring day of school!
My granddaughter and I listened on a recent car trip. We loved it. We couldn't wait to see the movie after listening. The movie was great Of course as always, the book was so much better! We can't wait to listen to the next book.
The book of course a classic and wonderful story, Kate Winslet is outstanding as the narrator!! I enjoyed it thoroughly.
