Unabridged Audiobook
Although it took awhile to warm up to the characters, I really enjoyed this story. I've read other Steve Martin stories and in comparison this seemed like a more "grown-up" writer. It did not contain the silliness or perhaps the manic or bizzare aspects of some of his other tales. I'm not an art person, but his details seemed believeable and well researched. I thought he wrote beautifully. I enjoyed the flow of words and the story's reality -- some peaks, some valleys, and ultimately not a fairy tale ending yet not an ending of total despair. Thankfully, Martin did not do the narration as he would have distracted from the more somber tale that was told. I think the narration was fit for the story -- a sort of sad tale but not depressing, just life lived.
Boring, Boring Boring. I kept hoping there would be a story but it never materalized.
Interesting in the Art perspective buying and trading but the story lacked. The readers voice also lacked expression...very dry
