Unabridged Audiobook
I just stumbled onto this author coming from Sandra Brown novels and this book was absolutely incredible. It was like watching a movie in my imagination. Amazing writing and a great story!
Heroine is very easy to like. Great narration. Very original plot.
The two main characters are perfect, absolutely perfect...,that's the problem. They aren't believable. Additionally, Nora Roberts prattles on too long about mundane things like renovations to a house. It doesn't help to create the imagery and impedes the flow of the story. I would not recommend this.
My favorite Nora Roberts book so far. I didn't want it to end. This is the perfect audiobook for all types of readers.
Love the story! Hate the book has so much cursing!!! That's the only negative thing about it.
Really great book I like how it went from a murder to romance and looks like at the end more murder I am a trucker and so far have really enjoyed this book I don't read books but I enjoy listening to books
Good book just dragged a little on all tiny details. But it was a good ending
Absolutely awesome book just like all books written by Nora Roberts! Her writing always keeps me captivated and never wanting to put the book down!
Great book, great narrator.
Great
Absolutely loved this book! Tag stole my ❤️! Unique characters, great plot twist! Love wins!
It was an interesting book. I enjoyed it. The talk about updates to the house and decorating didn’t bother me as much as others have mentioned because I’m interested in that kind of thing. However, it does take away from the suspense. It also humanizes the characters and supports their interactions and growing bond development. Very good author.
Disappointed. Clearly this was not the first book that Nora Roberts wrote. I have listened and read many of her books. And I have liked them. If this was the first book I have read of hers I would Not picked up another. I seems like she was an amateur, trying hard to grasp the reader attention that she forgot that even though the main character is absolutely beautiful, long legged, blonde, has a great job, makes sssoooo much money and picks a ten bedroom house, a man that is roughed and photogenic, that she, Nora Roberts, forgot to RELATE to the audience. How about a flaw. At the end of the book the reveal, really does matter at all if she was short, or shy , or if She had a pimple. Something to keep the reader interested...you know were they can RELATE. It Was VERY HARD for me to listen to to all of it. The Narrator was hard to listen to too. Her voice would change between the male and female characters. But if it was to males talking, They sounded the same. It might have been the authors fault by not putting the characters name but also the Narrators to. Another thing was quite a few flaws in the store. I have counted 7 and probably more, but at that point I stopped counting. And at the end I have already new who the stocker was at yhe begining, because there was only one person that it could be. The store was not cleaver, most of the story was about remodeling the house. It was like Nora Roberts was remodeling her own house and why not write about what color she should paint her office room. ..I would have given her zero. I very much doubt that I will ever pick another of her books. This left a very bad taste in my mouth.
great listen, and good story!
This book starts with a thrilling beginning. I found myself listening outside of my normal times just to hear what happened next. And then it turned into a cliche romance murder mystery. The difference in quality from the protagonists childhood to adulthood was shocking and hugely disappointing.
Great book!! Could not wait for my daily commute to listen.
As usual Nora Roberts doesn’t disappoint. This is a good listen from the beginning to the end.
A good listen
This was an excellent book.
when I first listened to this I was really thinking of returning it if there was a return policy but as the book went on I began to enjoy it. I would have given it five stars but because of an issue I gave it 4 but I will not go into that. had a good plot and the narrator did an excellent job.
Really enjoyed this book. Believable characters, lots of action and a good narrator. I'm fast becoming a Nora Roberts fan on Audiobooks
this book is amazing. i could not stop listening and it has stayed with me. i even got my friend to listen its one if my favourite audiobooks x
really really great Nora Roberts adventure. Cannot fault it in anyway. Excellent Narration as well
Was nice to listen to and the plot was very good!
Very captivating and easy to follow story. Maybe bit odd to have so much decorating though it is part of it too. The reader was otherwise pretty good but a bit calmer pace and soften voice could work better.
Awesome book to listen to while traveling. Kept us on the edge, Better than some of hers, more original story line. What’s next?
Absolutely loved this book! I was hooked from the start. Not a huge fan of the narrator in some instances but she did a good job overall.
Two thumbs up!!
As an avid audiobook listener on my daily commute I can say hands down this was one of the best! I’m just so sorry it’s finished !!
Fantastic read. Loved the characters, the story, and most of all Tag, a special dog!
I felt the narrator sounded like a chipmunk and read just as quickly as one. It was not enjoyable to listen to the story at the time, however I liked Noah Roberts words enough to push through the narration to get to heart of the story and listen through the whole thing! Great story!!!
Interesting read a bit trite and uninspired but generally San okread
What an experience.! I became addicted and loved how the author kept me in suspense. It was one of her best books. Keep them coming !
Great story.
Loved this book. When I had to pause the book, I looked forward to each time I could start listening again.
This is the first Nora Roberts I have 'read' and really enjoyed it, storyline was great and has that twist at the end. My sister is a huge fan and now I know why
I really enjoyed this book. The beginning definitely grabs you. I see several reviewers mentioned the middle was slow. I can see that point but I personally appreciated it. I loved getting to know the main character and see her relationships develop. I found all the details interesting and made me feel vested in her story. The end I thought was predictable and wrapped up a little too quickly but overall I liked it a lot. I thought the narrator did a great job.
Loved this book. The story hit all of my high points, mystery, family, romance etc. I would recommend it.
I loved the beginning and the end!! the middle got slightly slow, but the ending was great!
Great story. Wonderful characters. Narrator really brought the characters to life. My kind of writing, not the violent part, but the intensity of it all. Good work Shannon!!!!
Great read, loved it all the way thru even tho i was long!! Loved the romance in amongst the suspense. Will be reading another one of her novels.
I found the book to quit boring. It started off good enough, but became complacent and overly descriptive. The narration was not good at all. The pauses for Dramatic effect were horrible!! In my opinion it was too long and easy to figure out who the villain was. I bought the book because of the rave reviews, but if you are looking for a great book with great narration; like "Girl on a Train", don't waste your money or time.
Best book I've listened to in awhile! Mixture of suspense, romance, location... The author describes the characters so well I felt they were old friends.
I loved this book especially the ending because it wasn't at all what I predicted
Looked the book!! Nora Roberts always does a great job. The narrator was awesome!!
Great story, excellent narration! I am loving this app, such a great way to get more reading in.
Liked the book and the author. It dragged a little in the middle but still enjoyed listening . The story kept you involved
The only reason I am giving the book a 4 instead of 5 stars is because I thought the middle of the book dragged just a little bit. I understand that the story needed to be set up, but I thought a lot of the house details could have been spared (just in my opinion). The narrator was great, I just thought the characters deserved more expression considering their dialogue was so well written. Overall, this is a great book and I would highly recommend it!
I'm very good and interesting book suspenseful hit me right on my seat I would have never guessed who the killer was at the end but then you got to figure it out towards the end before they do I would recommend this book to anybody Nora Roberts has now become one of my best I will be reading more of her books
Sooooo Good! I could not stop listening. The narrator was excellent!
Adored The Obsession, which I fell into accidentally. Narrator has a good colorful voice too- which matches the way Roberts paints pictures.
Loved the book and most anything from Nora Roberts
awesome story line and epic ending! I got lost on the story which is how it's supposed to be.
