I love a fake marriage premise and this book started off well. On the whole the characters were likeable but as the story went on I struggled to overlook the ridiculous way they dealt with sex. Firstly, given there's zero evidence in the book that Ace knows what a clitoris is, I was dubious about it being that great for all involved. Secondly their attitude to unprotected sex undermined my belief in their friendship and their intelligence. Friends would not put each other at risk like that, it showed a real lack of respect. I was also annoyed by the gender norms but I accept that these are probably correct for the context and time.
