Unabridged Audiobook
This is a gentle, sweet book, beautifully written. You have to be willing to just go with the flow, whenever Isabel's mind takes off into philosophical conundrums. I really like this series. The series started off with a gentle murder mystery, but I think the author finally decided that Isabel could stand on her own two feet without added excitement.
I love these stories...especially when I take a break from murder and mystery. Beautifully written, great narration, just lovely!
This is my third Sunday Philosophy Club series. I enjoy the daily ethical problems that Isobel ponders. Smith is a great writer and the reader is great; love the Scots accent.
This book was very slow. The protagonist ruminated instead of pondering and analyzing the ethics of her situation. Too long not enough interactions among the cast.
This is a poor book from a great writer. I could not make it past disc 3. It's missing Alexander McCall Smith's charm, wit and fun.
