Unabridged Audiobook
We chose this for our monthly Art Lovers’ Book Club . . . I loved it! Beautifully written and the narrator made it virtually cinematic.
I'm a huge fan of Christopher books in general, but this is, by far, one of the best audiobooks I've ever listened to. The narrator does such an excellent job of pronouncing all the different French names and titles, and he speaks clearly so you can follow along easily. The book itself is just as wonderfully imaginative as all his other novels, but I find this one especially fun because of all the art historical references! I'm an art history major and it brings a whole new element to the paintings I studied and love so much. It's a fun and creative mystery with endearing characters that you can easily become attached to and a plot that pulls you along! Loved this book!!
Very very hard to get into but stick with it!! It’s an amazing journey that can change the way you see the color blue and the impressionists it’s now my favorite Christoper Moore books.
His best book EVER! I would suggest given the rich cast of characters, the faux-historical
I only got 5 CD's in and had to stop. I'm a huge Christopher Moore fan and found this a big departure from his other very funny and amusing work. The reader handled the material and french pronunciations well, but the content just dragged on.
