Unabridged Audiobook
this very short book has the depth of a much longer book. Despite the brevity, I was pulled in, engaged and moved by the protagonist’s decision to do the right thing.
It’s a very short novel …. Certainly loads of room for additional development . The part that was written is well done , but we all know there’s so much to this content that could be exploited
Claire Keegan’s Small Things Like These is a short but powerful story that becomes even more vivid and heartfelt in the audiobook format. Aidan Kelly’s narration enhances the experience with his authentic Irish accent, bringing an additional layer of immersion and emotional depth to the narrative. His pacing and tone perfectly capture the quiet resilience of Bill Furlong, as well as the somber atmosphere of the story’s setting. Listening to the audiobook feels intimate, almost like hearing a personal story shared by someone who lived it. It’s perfect for a reflective experience and lets the listener feel every bit of the moral weight and quiet triumph at the heart of the tale.
